Provisional Perforations 1863/71: 1 d. carmine perf. 12, 4 d. blue perf. 10 and 6 d. slate-violet perf. 12, used on 1869 cover to Prince Edward Island, all tied by "52" numeral obliterators of Launceston, the 4 d. additionally tied by "POST OFFICE / LAUNCESTON / ♚" datestamp in red (July 16). London transit datestamp on obverse in red (Sept 13) with '1d' Colonial credit handstamp and '5' pence credit in manuscript. Carried on the "Malta" to Galle, the "Candia" to Suez and the "Delta" to Southampton.
