Chalons 1866: Lithographed 4 d. grey-lilac, 6 d. yellow-green and 1 s. brownish-grey used on 1872 mourning envelope from Brisbane to Springfield, Mass., USA endorsed "via Brindisi", tied by "QL" obliterators with Brisbane despatch cds (Feb 24) alongside. 'London / Paid' transit cds (April 15) in red and New York transit (April 26) where "4 Cents" credit handstamp was applied in red.
