British Post Office in Smirna 1905/12: Levant 2 d. pale grey-green & carmine-red and 3 d. dull purple & orange-yellow used on 1907 registered cover to London tied by "Registered / Smyrna" datestamp (March 12) in black with blank registration label at left cancelled by blank "BRITISH POST OFFICE / SMYRNA". Slightest age spot on 2 d. but a rare issue on letter - the 'blank' registration labels were in use for approximately one year only.
