[U.S.S. Los Angeles] 1930 (May 31), Curtiss Marine Trophy Race Flight, Anacostia, D.C., legal-size cover (a Lakehurst Naval Air Station penalty envelope) franked with a 5¢ Washington tied by Mar 31 Washington D.C. duplex; typed statement acknowledging landing at Anacostia in a glider launched from the Airship, signed by the glider pilot, Lt. T.G.W. Settle and by Lt. R.F. Tyler, Very Fine. The cover is addressed to stamp dealer Donald Dickason in Wooster Ohio. Dickason was the recipient of the 17 Netherlands "Thoolen" covers that survived the Hindenburg Disaster.
