1938: Covers (3) with 1921 2 a. dull & bright purple used on 1938 cover with complete contents tied by scarce "BURAO / BRITISH SOMALILAND" cds (Jan 19) in black; second 1938 cover written from Gedais with contents with 1 a. carmine-red pair tied by superb "SHEIKH / BRITISH SOMALILAND" cds (May 6) on crested Somaliland Camel Corps envelope; third 1938 cover with 1938 2 a. maroon used from Berbera, all addressed to his mother in London by Sir Humphrey French of the Royal Ulster Rifles, son of Field Marshall Sir John French, serving with the Somaliland Camel Corps from 1935 until August 1940.
