1860: Entire letter from Bogota (June 16) to New York with 1860 20 c blue on the obverse, stamp with large margins on the obverse (just touched by a filling crease). Plus 18605 c grey-lilac and 20 c deep bright blue shade on the reverse, both good to large margins. All tied by oval BOGOTA eye-glass cancels.Oval forwarding handstamp cancel "C. J. FOX in Aspinwall N. G." (Aspinwall = Colon) in red.
The 20 c on the front pays interior letter rate, the 25 c franking on the reverse pays the 'sobreporte' fee for foreign mail handled trough the British consulate. Certificate Moorhouse (2012).
