GUANACASTE 1885: 5 c. violet, reconstructed horizontal strip of ten, separated between column 3-4 and 8-9, unused, showing the GUANACASTE or Guanacaste overprint in black reading downward, the row showing the four different overprint types, mounted on paper backing with part original gum, vivid colour, rare. Additionally, comes with a group of five blocks with fake GUANCASTE overprints, a fascinating selection Scott 25 (4), 29 (2), 33 (1) and 37 (3) = $9'400+ as unused singles .
