1878: Morazan ½ r. black, two examples used on 1889 illustrated Telegram envelope to Belize, British Honduras, each tied by circular negative 'star in circle' handstamps in blue with "REPUBLIQUE DE HONDURAS / BUREAU POSTAL D'ÉXCHANGE / PUERTO CORTEZ" datestamp at left (Aug 15). "BELIZE" code C arrival cds above (Aug 19). The cover would have been used by the "Telegrafo del Gobierno de Honduras" to send a written copy of a transmitted telegram. Extremely rare - the sole example known and one of just two Morazan issue covers recorded to British Honduras. Cert. Holcombe (1990). Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
