1878: Morazan ½ r. black, 1 r. green and 2 r. deep blue, all used on 1888 business envelope from Santa Lucia to Durham, Penn., USA tied by three strikes of negative 'star in circle' handstamps in violet, with oval "REPUBLIQUE DE HONDURAS / BUREAU POSTAL D'ÉXCHANGE / TEGUCIGALPA" datestamp alongside (March 6); reverse with same type PUERTO CORTEZ transit in blue (March 14), New Orleans cds and Riegelsville arrival (March 23). Slight edge wear to envelope of no significance, a stunning and extremely rare three colour franking. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
