Auction 333-341 Western Australia & Great Britain - Day 3

1854 (Aug 1): Lithographed 4 d. blue, wmk. Swan sideways, an unused block of four with large even margins all round, (Row 2, stamps 3-4 / Row 3, stamps 3-4, Pane A, positions 23-24/43-44), note that position 23 from Pane A shows a small white spot attached to the "S" of POSTAGE, whilst all positions on the four panes (23, 28, 33 and 38) also show the fault to the second "E" in PENCE; position 24 shows the Swan "holed near the water", of lovely fresh colour, unused without gum, a most attractive and very scarce multiple.
