1884: 5 s. rose, white paper, wmk. anchor, bottom marginal, very fine and fresh colour, in combination with King Edward VII 1902 1 d. scarlet and 6 d. dull purple, used on registered cover front, from London to Cairo, Egypt, dated 24 January 1902, tied by Fulham Road cds and registered oval of West Brompton, endorsed 'Fragile registered'. Addressed to 'Her Highness, The Princess Said Toussoun, Ghesirah Palce Hotel'. A rare example. The 5 s. rose is rare on cover with just fourteen example on cover and three on cover fronts. However, only two are mixed reign usages, this being unique to Egypt.
Note: H.H. The Princess Emine Indji Toussoun married the Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire, H.H. Muhammed Said Halim Pasha, in 1890.
