lot # 4052 - grossbritannien ganzsachen
Queen Victoria 1899 ½ d. green postal stationery card, uprated with 1891 1 d. lilac (SG 172), 1900 ½ d. blue-green (SG 213), in combination with King Edward VII 1902 ½ d. blue-green and 1 d. scarlet, sent locally in London, dated 1 January 1902, the First Day of issue, tied by London double circle datestamp in black. Small tear in card lower right close to the 1 d. scarlet which does not affect the stamp. Also corner rubs and minor creasing to corners. A contrived mixed franking which illustrates the change in reign on an overpaid domestic postcard rate. However a rare first day cover and mixed QV/EVII. According to the Karl Louis card index just one other example is recorded.
