1902 (Jan 1): ½ d. pale yellowish-green, perf. 14, used on cover, from Manchester to London, dated 24 December 1909, cancelled by a fine and clear strike of the Manchester Posted in Advance for Christmas Columbia Machine cancel in black. The envelope unsealed and sent at the printed-matter rate. Slight rusting to right side which has disturbance and a tine spot top none of which detracts, otherwise fine and an unusally fine strike of this postmark. Comes with another examples of the same cancel on a postcard also franked with the same adhesive. Scarce duo (2).
