Rowland Hill Signature 1841 Letter from Rowland Hill headed "Ambleside, Westmoreland, Oct 7th 41" to an unnamed correspondent thanking for his kind note. Hill had taken the month of October for his annual holiday which he spent in the Lakes (for details see 'The Reform of the Post Office" vol. 1, page 180, Rowland Hill's Post Office Journal). A great piece for the opening page of any Great Britain collection.
