1878 (May 2): De La Rue Die Proof for 10 s. value in black on glazed white card, with uncleared Corner Letters and Plate Number, the ornaments above 'O.T.G.' of POSTAGE have been altered since the tuesday 30 April Proof and strengthened since the 1 May Proof, the NE letter square now repaired, handstamped "May 2, 1878" in black. A rare and very fine Proof Gi J124 = £ 3'500.
