1883/84: 4 d. dull grey-blue, wmk. Crown CA, perf. 12, a used horizontal pair tied to 1884 registered "Telegram" envelope to Suriname, tied by bold strike of Kingstown vertical "A01" obliterator in black. Oval "R" handstamp at left and despatch cds in red 'Kingstown / St. Vincent' (June 18) in red. Reverse with 'Paramaribo' arrival cds (June 27) in black. Illustrated in 'St. Vincent' by Pierce, Messenger & Lowe on colour plate XV. A stunning cover and, as far as we aware, unique. Cert. RPSL (1961).
