1865: ½ r. ultramarine, clear impression (Gi. 1), a used example with good margins all round, just touched at lower left, neatly tied to 1865 cover to Guayaquil tied by "QUITO / FRANCA" circular datestamp (Feb 15) in black. An extremely early usage, one of the earliest this describer has recorded. A fine and very scarce cover.
