British Protectorate 1815-1864 1861: Great Britain 1 d. red star used on Soldier's concessionary rate cover to London, endorsed at top and countersigned at base by the Colonel commanding the 2nd Battalion of the 4th Regiment, poorly cancelled in black upon arrival in London with "London / Paid" cds in red (May 1) adjacent. Overall soiling and flap missing but scarce. Signed Holcombe.
