1864: 1 s. green (Type A), two used examples with single 1868 3 d. deep dull purple (Type B) - showing the second stage re-entry of which but 112 examples can exist - used on double rate 1880 cover to USA all cancelled by segmented cork handstamps in black. Manuscript "1/3" for the British share in red crayon, backstamped in London (May 5) and New York / Paid All' on reverse in black (May 15). Extensive closed tears to the left of the envelope but a very rare, believed unique, example of the 2 s. 3 d. double rate.
