1858: 2 d. blue, plate 6, lettered NH, perf. 14, wmk. large crown, alphabet III, used on cover in combination with 1884 ½ d. slate-blue, sent from Bournemouth to Stadthagen, Germany, dated 24 August 1894, tied by 'B60' Bournemouth duplex in black. To the reverse a circular arrival also in black (26 August 1891). An unlikely and unique mixed franking and late usage of the 2 d. blue which is used 33 years after its issue ceased, which is the latest recorded use of the 1857 2 d. blue 'stars' issue.
