Overprinted by De La Rue 1897/1902: Overprinted ½ d. vermilion pair used on 1909 printed envelope headed "Paramount Chief Sekgoma, Letsholathebe" at left to Mafeking, tied by "GABERONES / B.P." cds (Sept 5) in black. Reverse with large oval "Kgosi Tarawa / Sekgoma Letsholathebe" cachet in reddish-violet somewhat overstruck Gaberones Official cachet in violet with Mafeking cds (Nov 5) of arrival. Minor aging but a rare cover.
