Lot 390 - united states draped bust cents - Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Pre-Long Beach Auction #841802 S-241 R1 Stemless Wreath EF40. Ten points sharper but recolored frosty light olive and chocolate brown with peeps of faded artificial red showing in protected areas. Virtually void of marks. A faint diagonal hairline scratch in the field behind the head and a small planchet void right of the D in UNITED are the best identifying defects. E-MDS, Breen state II, with a die crack through the top of OP to the dentils near the adjacent A. The strike is a bit uneven with weakness at the top of the obverse and bottom of the reverse. The Stemless Wreath and Doubled Fraction Bar features are clear. Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Pre-Long Beach Auction #84united states draped bust cents |

Lot 358 - united states draped bust cents - Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Pre-Long Beach Auction #841799 S-189 R2 PCGS graded Poor-1 (EAC Basal State-1). Glossy bluish steel and medium chocolate brown. The surfaces are smooth and void of marks, just heavily worn. Choice for the grade. The upper half of the date is clear but the lower half is worn away, and maybe a third of LIBERTY can be made out. Most of the reverse is worn smooth. Our grade is Fair-2 for the obverse but barely BS-1 for the reverse, so our grade is consistent with the slab grade. Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Lot 369 - united states draped bust cents - Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Pre-Long Beach Auction #841800 S-205 R4 VF20+. Sharpness VF30 but there are some light contact marks scattered over the planchet. The notable ones are a dull vertical nick in the hair under the B in LIBERTY, a minor rim bruise left of the lowest curl, several small pinpricks on the bust, and a few more in the space right of the second S in STATES. Mostly glossy dark steel brown and light olive. MDS, Breen state II. The horizontal die crack from the middle curls is clear but it appears to fade out before reaching the rim, and the die clashmarks in the field before the neck are clear. Removed from an ANACS slab graded VF30 (ANACS label #4140736 included). Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Pre-Long Beach Auction #84united states draped bust cents |

Lot 385 - united states draped bust cents - Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Pre-Long Beach Auction #841802 S-232 R1 F12. Sharpness EF40 but the upper part of the obverse is covered with fine roughness mixed with traces of lacquer, and there is microscopic pitting around UN in UNITED. The remainder of the planchet is smooth and most of the reverse is choice. Partly glossy medium brown and darker chocolate. MDS, Breen state IV. The die clashmarks on the reverse are clear. Lot 353 - united states draped bust cents - Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Pre-Long Beach Auction #841798 S-184 R1 Style II Hair with Small 8 VF20. Sharpness EF40 or a bit better but there are numerous light rim bruises on both sides, none notable but too many to ignore. The only other marks are a collection of dull pinpricks on the neck. Glossy steel and light olive brown. MDS. Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Pre-Long Beach Auction #84united states draped bust cents |

Lot 380 - united states draped bust cents - Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Pre-Long Beach Auction #841801 NC-3 R6+ Error Fraction 1/000 G5. Clipped Planchet. Sharpness F12 or a bit better but both sides are covered with moderate granularity. No verdigris. The only mark is a dull scratch across the center of the neck into the hair, and this mark is mostly hidden in the roughness and toning. Slightly glossy chocolate brown. The date and legends are complete and clear. A small, curved planchet clip over BE in LIBERTY just touches the top of that E and reaches the base of the dentils under the error (1/000) fraction. Not perfect but still comparable to the Breen plate coin for this very rare variety. Only 15 examples are known and the finest grades VG8. Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Lot 375 - united states draped bust cents - Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Pre-Long Beach Auction #841801 S-218 R5 3-Error Reverse Fair-2. A point or two sharper, especially on the reverse, but the fields and protected areas are covered with fine roughness, No verdigris, and the only marks are some faint hairline scratches hidden in the toning on both sides. Dark chocolate brown with lighter steel brown toning on the highpoints. The date is weak but still readable and at least half of the legends remain visible--but nothing is strong. The missing left stem on the wreath and blundered U in UNITED (first inverted, then corrected) are visible, but the 000 error in the denominator is gone. EDS, Breen state I, before the strong die clashmarks at ERTY. Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. Pre-Long Beach Auction #84united states draped bust cents |
